Estonian LAG visit to Ādaži in October 2016

On October 13, 2016, on a sunny autumn day, the association Gaujas Partnerība in Adazi hosted guests from nearby Estonia - the LAGs, which, like the Gauja Partnership, ensure the implementation of the LEADER program in its area of activity. The Local Action Group "Kirderanniku Koostöökogu" is the smallest LAG in the territory of Estonia (similar to the Gauja Partnership in Latvia) and operates in the Northeast. For more information on the Local Action Group "Kirderanniku Koostöökogu", see http://www.kirderannik.ee/.

The aim of the exchange visit was to promote cooperation and knowledge exchange on the production of local products between Estonia and Latvia.

The first stop in Ādaži district was the Soira cheese where they could get to know more about the plant, cheese cooking processes, maturing and storage methods. Estonians acknowledged that they did not have such cheese factories and they were interested in what was being told and displayed.

When passing through the exotic territory of the landfill, guests arrived at the second stop point - in Ilkina, ZS "Stirninas", where the farm manager kindly showed the territory of the camping "Leiputrija" and what was created in the immediate vicinity by the own hands.
